We’re open serving scrumptious breakfasts from 8.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. (Monday to Saturday, last orders for brekkies are 11.30 a.m. on Sundays) Everything from bacon butties to kippers, pancakes, fresh muffins and full Stock Pot Café breakfasts.
All our meat is from the world-renowned Aubrey Allen butchers and our produce is from right here in the splendid Ryton Organic Gardens wherever possible. Buying British and seasonal is paramount to us all and organic produce with no food miles at all is something we just believe passionately in. Cooking what we think people want to eat and cooking with love for the fantastic produce this country’s farms grow and rear.
Our coffee is organic, fair trade, line caught and hand dived. A selection of eclectic organic teas and hot chocolates are always available along with good old yorkshire tea too!!
There isn't a printed, laminated lunch menu that changes when the clocks do. What there is, is blackboards crammed with dishes that we create daily based on whatever the producers throw at us. Keeps it changing regularly and keeps it fun for the chef bods too!
Lunch is served from noon till end of service. Organic cakes and homemade scones sit proudly in our cheeky little deli counter alongside sausage rolls and pork pies. Iif you’re just popping in for a coffee and a snack, you’ll see the deli next to ye olde worlde sweet shop.
Sunday roasts every week from noon with the meat being the star of the show. Beautiful rare rib of beef, is, as you can imagine the star of the show!
Although we are first and foremost a café, it did seem criminal not to be able to have a bottle of red wine or cold organic cider in the beautiful south facing garden of a summer evening, so we are fully licenced up!! Whether pimms, prosecco, wine, beer or g & t is your thing, that view and those fresh garden smells are something else with a glass in your hand!! Once we have got our feet under the table so to speak there will be a smattering of gourmet evenings for the foodies and things like outside cinema, family picnics and bbqs firing off so keep an eye on the Facebook and Twitter pages for dates and updates.
